Can ya’ll believe that Christmas is literally a skip, jump, and hop away! Crazy how quickly the year flew by!

Wish lists in homes across the nation are filled with every fun toy on the market: kitchen playsets, hot wheels, dolls, dinosaurs, etc.  If your littles are anything like mine, I’m betting that their lists lack educational items.

No one’s asking Santa for number identification flashcards, ha!

No worries, I’ve got you covered!

Here are Our Preschooler’s Top 5 Educational Games & Toys:

  • Learn & Climb Lab-in-A-Box:  This is hands down our little scientist’s favorite!  With over 20 experiments, this helps to set the foundation of STEM skills and promotes critical thinking.  Plus, who doesn’t want to watch a volcanic eruption!
  • Zingo:  This game is bingo on educational steroids!  It incorporates matching, language building, and reading.  In our home, we’ve added a rule that whenever your square is called, you must spell the word associated with it; this provides added educational benefit.  The images are so cute and it’s fun for the whole family.
  • LiKee Alphabet Number Flash Cards: These are not your average flash cards! Each card includes fun illustrations with an indention to match the correlating wooden letter/number. Skills built include hand-eye coordination, letter/number identification, counting, color recognition, and critical thinking.
  • STREET WALK Frog Balance:  Ya’ll this is the cutest thing! It’s a frog balance beam, definitely one of those things that makes me think, “Why didn’t I think of this!?!”  On one side of the beam are weighted frogs and on the other is a weighted number.  My mom purchased this for our son to help with counting and number identification.
  • Picasso Tiles:  If you are a mom of a preschooler, then you know magnetic tiles are all the rage!  The popular brand, Magna-Tiles, is too expensive for us, so this brand is an inexpensive alternative.  Skills learned are gross and fine mother skills, spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and math and science skills.

If you found this helpful, subscribe and share with a friend! Let me know in the comments if you have any of these and/or if you’ll be adding them to your shopping list!

Merry Christmas mommas!
